Here at Dr. Heim and Dr. Carroll’s dental office, we want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our patients and our staff during these uncertain times. Our dental office has always followed the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA) guidelines for infection control.
Please note there are several additional safety measures in place. We are limiting the number of people in the waiting room and have removed all toys and magazines. We kindly ask that you arrive right at your appointment time and by yourself. Exceptions to this are for minors and those requiring assistance. Patients are pre-screened with a questionnaire and temperatures are taken upon arrival. A hand sanitizing station is available upon entry. Our staff is also screened daily. Use of masks throughout the dental office is required. Each operatory and throughout the dental office we have installed true HEPA air filtration systems. Our staff are wearing masks, face shields, eye protection, and gowns for treatment. Gowns are laundered after each patient to reduce contamination. We have reduced aerosol-generating procedures as often as possible. High velocity evacuation is used for any procedure potentially generating aerosols. We continue to stay up-to-date on any new guidelines and protocols that will keep all of us safe.
